Examinations, assessment and grading
BECE, WASSCE, NECO and UTME, plus how continuous assessment and report cards work.

Continuous assessment
How a term's mark is built.
Each term a student's mark in every subject is made up of two continuous assessments (10% each), a project, assignment or practical (10%) and the end-of-term examination (70%). Continuous assessment scores are shared with parents at the mid-term meeting so there are no surprises on the report card.
Promotion to the next class requires a pass average across subjects and a pass in English Language and Mathematics. Students who fall short are offered a resit in the first week of the following term.
Report cards are issued on the last day of term and, once the parents' portal is live, will also be available online.
